SNOW ENGAGEMENT SHOOT CHEVIN FOREST PARK
Louise and Lewis arranged their engagement shoot last October for the 17th January this year. Louise had her heart set on a snowy engagement shoot, it was her dream, that is why she chose a winter date. Although, a dreamer, Louise appreciated that you can’t really arrange the weather to do what you wish. So, you can imagine how she must have felt when she woke up that Sunday morning to see a blanket of snow…everywhere!
Having watched the forecast over the previous few days there was a slim chance that snow may fall. Exactly where it would fall was a bit hit and miss. We chose Chevin Forest Park in Otley as a location for the shoot, it had some high ground and also some lovely woodland areas.
Well, on arrival at Chevin Forest Park the scene was totally magical. The high ground was freezing and consequently we didn’t stay up there too long. However, the light on the tops was beautiful and some gorgeous images were captured before the retreat. The woodland area offered a more sheltered location and a much needed coffee stop. Louise, Lewis and I had a great time shooting in this magical wonderland of snow.
The day after… it was all gone… One day of snow and it was all ours…

“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event.
You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different,
and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?”
