A ROMANTIC, COUNTRY WEDDING AT EDEN BARN IN CUMBRIA

When the bride, Natalie, and her groom, James first got in touch about their Eden Barn wedding in Cumbria I was instantly excited. They were planning the most romantic country wedding with a church ceremony, filled with trees. Natalie knew that she wanted a fine art wedding photographer. When she found my website she instantly knew she needed to get in touch. This bride and groom seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I turned up at A Corner of Eden, a collection of boutique cottages in the Eden Valley. Natalie had chosen this space for her bridal party to get ready. Also, It was a stunning location with amazing views, so it created a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

Natalie wore a Rosa Clara dress and she looked stunning. Similarly, James was the epitome of dapper, in a blue suit and funky socks.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at St. Theobald Church near Kirkby Stephen, and was a beautiful location for a romantic wedding. They had a string quartet playing for the ceremony which created a wonderful atmosphere. The aisle was lined with huge trees and looked magical. After the ceremony we took family photos outside the church with the river as a wonderful backdrop for a fine art wedding photographer in Cumbria.

The Reception

The wedding reception took place at Eden Barn, which had been decorated so beautifully. In addition to the huge trees, there were twinkly lights and flowers. It looked stunning.

Eden Barn is a 200 year old stone barn with rustic charm set in 100 acres and overlooking picturesque scenery.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect. The guests were enjoying their Prosecco and canapes, meanwhile, I took Natalie & James around Eden Barn to take some beautiful portraits.

Natalie had organised singing waiters to perform during the wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast was a very tasty dish of Pie and Mash. Then came the speeches after which the couple cut the wedding cake and then hit the dance floor.
